40 Years of Boating Magic

Mark's Marine was started by Mark Gagnier in 1970 back in International Falls Minnesota as a small Service Shop and Lund Dealer. He would move to Coeur d'Alene in the early 1980's.

We stayed true to our Service Roots, Mark's Marine continued to offer low key Service and Sales from that location for the next 26 years. In 1986 we became the first full service Yamaha Dealer in the northwest and Yamaha remains our preferred outboard motor to this day.

Mark retired in 2000, selling the business to Merlin Thykeson who has owned Mark's Marine ever since.

By 2001, we were beginning to feel confined by our old location on Government Way. Yard space was becoming an increasing problem, and the detached rigging and sales building had never functioned well. The plans for the expansion of Government Way crystallized our need for a new facility so we began looking for a new location that would allow us the space to grow and expand for the next two decades. The location we chose was just north of Hayden and we've been at this location since 2006.

This year we wanted to do something for our Anniversary so we offered tremendous savings on all of our boats for two weeks and deep discounts across the store. This was coupled with a weekly prize drawing.

We'd like to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful customers who have made Mark's Marine so successful and we look forward to serving you for many many more years to come.
