The Past

Mark's Marine was started by Mark Gagnier in 1970 back International Falls Minnisota as a small Service Shop and Lund Dealer. In the early 1980's, Mark's Marine moved to Cour d'Alene. Staying true to our Service Roots, Mark's Marine continued to offer low key Service and Sales from that location for the next 26 years. In 1986 we became the first full service Yamaha Dealer in the northwest.

As the years passed Mark's Marine continued to grow, offering new Boat lines and services. Howver by 2001 we were begining to feel confined by our current location. Yard Space was becoming an increasing problem, and the detached rigging and sales building had never functioned well. The plans for the expansion of Government Way crystilized our need for a new facility so we began looking for a new location that would allow us the space to grow and expand for the next two decades.

The Present

After looking at numerous locations, we finally found one that perfectly suited our desires to build a first class facility and provide room for expansion a few miles north of our previous location. Mark and Merlin toured numerous other boat dealerships all across the region, before settling on the desing for the new location. The new 20,000sq foot main building was designed with efficiency and good customer flow in mind. A single unified counter handles all the Accesories, Parts, and Service traffic, and a bank of Sales desks provides plenty of room for our sales staff to talk with customers. Despite all this growth, Mark's Marine remains firmly commited to our roots as a small Service Dealer.
