Don Ghramm wins Angler of the Year with a total of 494.86
points. Dave Harrell takes 2nd with 474.15 points and Dennis Morgan
takes third with 467.50 points. Great Job Guys!
The 2009 Washington State Walleye Championship Tournament on Lake
Roosevelt hosted by the Spokane Walleye Club is now over. Rob Jimenez
& Paul Rossignol take first place with 31.46 pounds and a check for
$10,000. Kurt Sonderman and Channon Sonderman take 2nd
place with 29.56 pounds. Jeff Dickinson and Rod Hewitt take 3rd place
with 27.54 pounds. A 8.66 Pound Hawg was caught on Day 1 by Kurt
Sonderman and Channon Sonderman. John Lawrence & Jerry Lawrence
took Big Fish on Day 2 with a 6.16 pound pig. Wayne Conley & Bill Conley jumped 31 places to take the "Cool Under Pressure" award.
The 2009 Washington State Walleye Championship was
well attended with 72 entries. Average fish size was 1.42 pounds with
816 fish caught. Mark's Marine did a great job as the primary sponsor
for the event. Merlin provided an onsite mechanic for spot repairs, a
start flag boat and of course, the $10,000 grand prize.
