About Transhield Covers

Transhield is a patented alternative to packaging and protecting products from numerous elements during shipping and storage. Conventional packaging products can be abrasive or cause condensation, are difficult to work with and don't provide the strength needed to package or cover unique products. Furthermore, Transhield offers a unique, patented VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) called the AAD-VCI Delivery System. This provides premium corrosion protection in even the most corrosive environments

Three Layers of Protection

Transhield's outer layer is a special bright white polyethylene shrink/stretch film. The middle layer is a hot melt adhesive containing no solvents. The inner layer is a soft, cloth-like polyester material. The combination of these three products provides surface protection to even Class A automotive finishes during transportation. Transhield's unique non-abrasive composition protects from the elements during transportation and storage, without causing damage to the paint, gel coat or decals.

Environmentally Friendly

Because Transhield covers can be re-used year after year, they dramatically reduce the amount of material in our local dumps compared to traditional shrink wrapping which needs to be replaced year after year.

*NOTE: All prices are based on the Shrink Wrapping and the 2012 version of Mark's Marine's price sheet. Costs over 3 years for the transhield cover include the re-wrap fee and an additional 2 foot margin for shrinkage and boat variance. These numbers indicate estimates only as prices change from year to year, however as the bulk of a Transhield cover's total cost is paid the first year, the diffrence is likely only to grow, not decrease.
